The Gloucester Hornets U15 Girls OYSL concluded the 2009 season with a well fought win over the undefeated and #1 ranked Newmarket Lasers.  The team had a spectacular year finishing the season 3rd place in the very tough Eastern OYSL division and 4th overall in Ontario.  Adding to their accomplishments, the Hornets were undefeated on the road in the Greater Toronto Area, a feat that’s incredible to think about, given the quality of soccer in Southern Ontario.

We are very proud of all of our players given the challenges we faced from the beginning of the year and throughout the year.  They trained rigorously and played a well balanced brand of skilled soccer necessary to meet the demands of success in the OYSL.

We are also very grateful for the support and commitment provided by the parents and families of the players, who helped make this season possible, especially the out of town parents who drove countless hours to attend practices and games.

In preparation for next season, the Hornets will take this year’s success and build upon it during the Winter Development Program.
