Gloucester Hornets Soccer (Hornets) is committed to protecting your privacy. You can visit most pages on our Web site without providing us any information about yourself. On some of our pages we do require personal information from you. This privacy statement explains our policy related to the collection, storage and distribution of this information. This privacy statement only applies the Hornets Web site.

What we collect?

On pages where we do require personal information from you we will clearly state that we are collecting this information and will provide a link back to this privacy statement. More than often this information is required for registration purposes, and as such includes demographic information used to contact you by regular mail, email or telephone. It also includes information required to deliver a quality soccer program. This may include, but is not limited to, program selection, age, gender, position, ability, equipment sizing and position. In addition, emergency medical information is required should an accident occur and medical assistance need to be provided.

Online payment may require additional information in order to process online monetary transactions.  We do not manage online registration at the Hornets and outsource to IT Sports Net.   IT SportsNet’s Privacy Policy
How your information is used?

Your personal information is used for the following purposes:

•    to ensure our site is relevant to your needs
•    to deliver a quality soccer program
•    to alert you to important dates, events, meetings and club programs
•    to register with the Club for a specific program

Hornets may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to:

•    conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on the Hornets or the site;
•    protect and defend the rights or property of the Hornets and its website, or
•    act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of the Hornets’ employees, users of Hornets’ programs or services, or members of the public.

Control of your information

When you register, or otherwise give us personal information, Hornets will not share that information with third parties without your permission, other than for the limited exceptions already listed. It will only be used for the purposes stated above.
Hornets are a volunteer based association. All volunteers and those engaged as contractors by Hornets are subject to a reference screening process and police background check prior to any involvement with the club and access to your information. At all times, Hornets will ensure that access to only the portion of the information required by the role, to complete the activities associated with that role will be permitted. These individuals include:

•    Registrar
•    Schedulers
•    Coordinators
•    Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Managers
•    Team Officials
•    Camp Counselors
•    Club’s Executive
•    Club Administrator
•    Club General Manager

Through IT Sports Net, you will have access to your personal information to ensure it is correct and current Contact Information.
