Managers

Manager’s Training

Each year, the Hornets complete a manager’s training session.  This is an excellent opportunity to gain insight to what lies ahead for the season.  Many of you have been here before while others, this will be your first year with us at the Hornets.  The training sessions are collaborative and a great place to share ideas and best practices.

Team Manager’s Handbook – 2010 (coming soon) is an invaluable resource for a new team manager.  The handbook was designed to help get you through the season in an organized manner without recreating the wheel!  Get your copy today!  A copy of the presentation from the manager’s meeting may also prove to be very helpful - get yours here!

Uniform Ordering 2010

New Uniforms need to be ordered for 2010.  We are currently negotiating a contract with Manufacturers and a local supplier and expect to finalize discussions in January.  Please check back in February and more information will be available regarding;

Police Record Check

Police Record Checks are mandatory.  Please check with the club manager early on to determine when the due date for all of the 2010 police checks are required.  The 2010 Police Records Check Form is here and can be filled out by all team officials.  The form needs to be signed and brought into the office.

NB: You will also be required to provide a letter from the Hornets (available at the Clubhouse) to document that your police check is required for the volunteer sector.

GIST

All teams are required to attend and assist during the Gloucester International Soccer Tournament. The tournaments are labour intensive and our club’s major annual fundraiser.  A new process for team volunteers is being put together and will be in place for the 2010 tournament.

Do you know some kids looking for volunteer hours this summer?  The following Detailed Volunteer Job Descriptions are available and will ensure that those selected will have all of their required volunteer hours!

Please contact tournaments@gloucesterhornets.ca for more information!
